Just to let you know, I have another (unexpected) "career" that involves our Golden Retriever, Buddy. In 2013 I was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and spent several months with surgeries, radiation, and doctor visits. During that time Buddy was in training to become a therapy dog. Little did I know he'd be MY therapy dog, and also a service dog to help me recover.
Because of my experience with cancer I learned many valuable lessons about life. Bottom Line: It goes fast, and there are "speed bumps" along the way. Nothing is promised, but 2nd chances are sometimes granted. I'm one of the lucky ones, and my cancer is gone. Buddy helped me in many ways, and now we work together to provide some of his Canine Therapy to others. We love our visits to schools, nursing homes, and the James E. Carey Cancer Center in Hannibal.
So, if you can't reach me to take a photograph just send me a message or give me a call. I'm probably out on a walk with Buddy, or making a therapy visit. My love for "Photos to Remember" goes along with my theory about life....hold onto what's important, and take time to create special memories.
